Instructions and Help about results form drug

Welcome to this product demonstration video where we're just going to talk a little about interpretation of drug testing results and the difference between a positive and a negative drug test result what we've got in front of you here showing these two sample cassettes one of which shows a positive result when one of which shows a negative, and we're just going to try and focus now on the results windows there we go now what you will see here is that both of the tests show control lines now it is important that every test membrane shows a clear control line to demonstrate that sufficient purines been added to the test to run the complete tests efficiently and a control must always show if no control shows the test is invalid and however must be repeated or replaced now the results' interpretation is given by the presence or absence of the test line indicated on this test cassette by the T you'll see that the test cassette on the right shows a faint T line in comparison to the control line the color density thickness and saturation are pretty similar this needs't be the case the control line all the test line will vary considerably between samples and different test membranes any test line no matter how thin or faint in the presence of a control line at the specific read time must be interpreted as a negative result even if the control is very dark and thick and the test very thin even if the test line doesn't run completely across the width of the test window that would still interpret as a negative result compare this to the results window showing on the cassette on the left, and you'll see a control line showing with the complete absence of a test line at the 5 to 10 minute read time this is a negative sorry a positive result this indicates that the drug is present at or above the sensitive for the test that's being run and has completely blocked the absorption of dying at the test area these are negative binding technology tests where the drug if it's present will bind all the anti gem material that's embedded into the test line blocking the binding of the dye so positive results are indicated by the absence of lines as opposed to the presence of test lines, so that is a clear negative result some people will look at these, and they will try to interpret very, very thin or faint what I call ghost lines our advice is always to interpret the presence of any test line even if it's considered a ghost or a faint line as a negative result if there is doubt repeat the test using a fresh sample so that I hope has given you some clear guidance in terms of how to interpret the development of control and test lines in both urine and saliva near patient or instant drug tests

A drug results form is a document used to record the outcomes or findings of a drug test. This form typically includes information such as the specific drug or drugs tested for, the date and time of the test, the method used for testing (e.g., urine, blood, hair), and the results of the test (positive or negative). This form is commonly used in various settings, such as workplaces, athletic organizations, and healthcare facilities, to monitor drug use and ensure compliance with drug policies.
The specific individuals or entities required to file drug results forms may vary depending on the jurisdiction and specific regulations. Generally, it is the responsibility of medical professionals, such as doctors, pharmacists, and clinical researchers, to file drug results forms with the relevant regulatory authorities. This helps to ensure proper monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of drug efficacy and safety data. Additionally, pharmaceutical companies conducting clinical trials or involved in drug research and development may also be required to file drug results forms as part of regulatory compliance.

The purpose of a drug results form is to record and report the results of drug testing. It serves as a documented record of drug test results for individuals to track their drug use and monitor progress in a substance abuse treatment program. It can also act as an official record to share with employers, law enforcement, probation officers, and other relevant parties to demonstrate compliance with drug-free policies or legal obligations. The form typically includes information such as the date of the drug test, the specific drugs tested, the result (positive, negative, or inconclusive), and any additional notes or comments.
The specific information that must be reported on a drug results form may vary depending on the jurisdiction and the purpose of the drug test. However, commonly required information includes: 1. Identification of the individual being tested: This includes the individual's full name, unique identifier (such as employee ID or patient ID), and sometimes their date of birth. 2. Date and time of the drug test: The specific date and time when the drug test was conducted. 3. Type of drug test: Specify whether the test is for drugs of abuse, medications, or specific substances. 4. Testing method: Indicate the method used for testing, such as urine analysis, blood test, saliva test, hair strand analysis, or any other relevant method. 5. Collection details: Include information about the person who collected the sample, the method of collection, and any relevant details about the collection process. 6. Chain of custody: In situations where the drug test results may be used in legal proceedings or employment matters, it is important to document the chain of custody, including the names and signatures of individuals who handled the sample from collection to result reporting. 7. Testing facility information: Provide the name, address, and contact details of the laboratory or facility where the testing was conducted. 8. Drug panel: Specify the substances or drugs that were tested for. This could include common drugs of abuse like marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opioids, benzodiazepines, etc., or specific medications or substances relevant to the purpose of the test. 9. Test results: Clearly provide the results of the drug test for each substance tested, indicating whether it was positive (indicating the substance was detected), negative (indicating the substance was not detected), or inconclusive. 10. Medical review officer information (if applicable): If a Medical Review Officer (MRO) has reviewed and interpreted the test results, include their name, contact information, and any additional comments or observations they may have. It is important to note that this information is a general guideline, and the specific requirements for reporting drug test results may vary depending on the context and local regulations.
